Nasry Malak -- Nasry is a Coptic Orthodox Christian whose family originates from Egypt. He's a film star, playwrite and a veteran standup comedian. Nasry lives in New York City.
Nasry is a hilarious actor comedian who has been in the business for over ten years. He grew up in Jersey City, NJ, where he found a lot to laugh at. He quips about his youth in Jersey City saying, "Nascar races should be held in Jersey City. Spend 5 minutes in J.C. and you can't wait to race out of there."Trained in the art of acting and improvisation, Nasry's true strength comes from his quick wit and original material. Nasry was recently featured on CNN and 20/20 in news segments about Middle Eastern Comics. He has also written and starred in his own One Man Show, "The Morning After Pill." Nasry has been fortunate enough to work with Robert Smigel on a voice over for Saturday Night Live's "TV Funhouse." He has been featured in Michael Moore's Farenheit 9/11 DVD and the Women's Entertainment Channel's "Three Men and A Chick Flick."Currently, he is working on a One Man Show called "American Idle."
Maria Shehata -- Maria is a Coptic Orthodox Christian whose family originates from Egypt. She is an actress and a veteran standup comedian. She was raised in Columbus, Ohio and now lives in New York City.
Leaving her hometown of Columbus, Ohio, Maria quickly earned herself a place at the table at some of the best comedy clubs in New York City. Maria’s sharp and original stand-up, combined with her crowd pleasing conversational delivery has brought her appearances in NY’s Arab-American Comedy Festival, the Emerging Comics showcase at the New York Underground Comedy Festival, Comedy Central’s The Watch List, Dandana TV, Women's Entertainment Network, and numerous guest appearances on Sirius Satellite Radio.
Ray Hanania -- Ray is an Antiochian Orthodox Christian raised Lutheran whose family originates from Jerusalem and Bethlehem in Palestine. He is an award winning journalist, author and standup comedian. Ray lives in a suburb of Chicago.
Ray is an internationally recognized, award winning journalist and author. Ray started standup immediately after Sept. 11, 2001, but has a long history of humor and comedy writing. He is the author of the humor book "I'm Glad I Look Like a Terrorist: Growing up Arab in America," which was published in 1996, and wrote the magazine essay "Ya Habibi," a hilarious look at life growing up Arab in America published in 1989. Ray's comedy career has been featured on the ABC Nightly News, CNN, MSNBC, CBS Morning News, the Today Show, Good Morning America, NPR, the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Time Magazine and more. He is the recipient of three Society of Professional Journalism "Lisagor Awards" for column writing and was named "Best Ethnic American Columnist" in Nov. 2006 by the New America Media.
