Founded in 1999, NAAJA is a network of professional journalists of Arab American heritage working in the mainstream American news media and Arab American ethnic media. We are proud to include several networking chapters in the United States and also NAAJA-Palestine, the local Chapter for Palestinian Journalists.
We seek to network with all Arab American journalists of Middle East background, or those professionals who work in the Arab American ethnic media or mainstream American media. We are a non-political, professional organizations. We do not engage in political debate, but we do not how difficult it is in the post-Sept. 11, 2001 America to be "Arab American."
We adhere to the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics. We also network with many other Arab American journalism organizations and professionals. We welcome your participation.
Take the first steps to strengthen your Arab American professional journalism voice by:
1) submitting news items for posting on the NAAJA Blog (Go there?) 2) submit your digital photo and short bio for inclusion on our "Who We Are" Page, and 3) join the SPJ and the new SPJ-Arab Journalism Section. THE SPJ is an official partner with NAAJA.

We include our NAAJA events on that page for review. We want to hear from all our members and any Arab American journalist.
